¡Hola mí querido familia! (: Os quiero muchísimo!
This week has been fanstastic!! Hermana Read is
adjusting and is loving the work! It´s been great being able to teach in unity,
because already her Spanish is improving a LOT!
Three of my four companions-I love them all so much!! |
Monday we had a nice peaceful p-day! We just relaxed
then saw MR and then we were able to teach Noche de Hogar! I love teaching... I
want to do it every time there!
Tuesday was your birthday Mom!! I hope you got my letter
in the mail! if not... just know that I didn´t forget, I sent you a letter I
promise!
We had district meeting today, and last night - super late, Elder
Durfey told me to plan a talk. It needed to be on personal study. I focused a
lot on obedience and it turned out really great. After my ´taller´, Elder
Durfey said, ´´now I know why I had Hermana Brown do the talk, and Elder
Farrell do the handbook´´ It worked out perfectly. We both talked about similar
things, without being assigned to it.
It´s so hard to get to everyone we are teaching. It´s a
little sad when we can´t teach everyone we want to. After some lessons, we had
interviews with President in the chapel. I love interviews. Even though it´s
only like 10 minutes, it´s still the greatest to be able to talk to him
one-on-one. He told me, ´´since the beginning, I feel like you´ve always been
like a ´cool cat´, like you have always been pretty relaxed with hard
situations.´´ He made me feel really good, and he reasurred me that I would do
fine in the training! After that, we taught English class and we got to teach noche
de hogar too!! It went really well, and people really seemed to like the
lesson.
Wednesday we were a little late getting home, but we
tried so hard and we planned it quite well .
Thursday night when we were walking home, one of C´s
friends said to us, ´´podéis venir a mi casa cuando queréis´´ (you can come to
my house when you want) and I just told him straight up... ´´we´re here as
missionaries to share a message about Jesus Christ, so if you want us to come
teach you about him, we´ll come. But if not, we´re not going to come to your
house.´´ He seemed a little shocked, and he doesn´t believe in God and I
already knew that... that´s why I said what I did. I was really just sick of
these men hitting on us and wanting us to come to their houses when they aren´t
even interested. I´m getting a little Spanish Sass!! (:
We were one number away from hitting standards!! We´re
going to get them this week!! (:
So this week has been pretty busy and very fun! The best
part, that I forgot to mention - is that F is back! (: He tried to go to
England, but had a hard time getting in or something, so he is still here with
his family! (: I love him and his family so much, and I´m so happy he is still
here!
I love you
so much! I love the mission, and serving the people here. I´m so grateful for
the family I have and for being born into the gospel. What a blessing. I can´t
thank Heavenly Father enough for sending me to the best family in the world! (:
OS
QUIERO!
Con Cariño,
Hermana Sara
Brown
